Braehead Staff Car Share
Welcome to the cost effective, eco-friendly and fun way of getting to work.
What is intu Braehead Car Share?
Intu Braehead Car Share is a free web-based service that helps two or more people who are travelling to intu Braehead from the same area to share their journey. If you live near someone or a group of people who travel regularly to intu Braehead, car sharing would allow all sharers the convenience of travelling here by car. Car sharing is a great way to brighten up your journey, whilst saving money, minimising road congestion and therefore reducing pollution.
You do not need to own a car to car share! You can register your journey and indicate that you are seeking a lift. Click here for further details.
Great benefits
Car sharing has a wide range of benefits, both to drivers, passengers and the environment. If you are a driver taking part in the scheme, the cost of running your car will be significantly reduced as each passenger will contribute towards the journeys. Passengers who would otherwise use public transport as a means of getting to work will also notice a significant saving. By making the choice to take part in a car share you will be helping to reduce congestion on the roads, which in turn will reduce damaging air pollution. The CO2 emissions caused by the volume of traffic on the roads could be dramatically reduced if a larger percentage of the population considered car sharing.

Look out for the bright orange smiley balloon stickers - these carry our helpline number: 08444 48 42 25. If you lose a child or need to report an incident look for the nearest sticker and ring this number to talk directly to our security and customer services team.
Mums & Dads!
Teach your child that if they are ever separated from mum, dad or guardian, not to panic, but to look for the nearest window sticker, from where they can either look for a security guard, or a parent with children and ask them to ring the number, or go into the shop. Also make sure teenagers know that they can also use the number, should they need help.
Free Wristbands
A mobile number on a wristband is the simplest and quickest way to help a lost child. Free Child Safe Zones wristbands are always available from any customer service desk throughout the centre. These wristbands are bright, waterproof and tough so as well as shopping they are ideal for other days out or journeys into busy towns and cities.
Child Safety Tips
It’s easy for children to get distracted in busy places. Most children are reunited very quickly, but a child is vulnerable while lost so it’s important to teach a child what to do.
If you are lost...
- Stop, stand still and look, don’t run about
- If you see the person you were with, go to them and hold their hand
- If lost in a shop, go to the nearest till point and talk to a shop assistant. Most shop assistants will wear uniforms or badges
- If in the centre, look for nearest bright window sticker, and then look for a security guard or a mum with children and ask her to ring the number, or ask for help in the shop
- Don’t go up to anyone else
… but the best way to help a lost child is to try and prevent it happening in the first place:
- Encourage children to stay close to you
- Use reins or wrist links
- Don’t leave a child in an unsupervised play area
- Write a contact number on a wristband or tag
- Carry an up to date photograph
- Make a note of what the child is wearing
